While the family had long wanted to build a country house for themselves on their property in southern South Korea, they were concerned that they would not be able to oversee the construction from their home in Seoul. Using prefabricated techniques, ACHA proposed solving this issue by fabricating the house closer to Seoul and then transporting the completed house in sections to the site.

The property is located within a hilly landscape of tea farms, which descend into a valley. The house is composed of two units, one for public and the other for private activities. The two sections are connected by a glass “bridge.” The units are set on top of a retaining wall, behind which is stored the tea harvested from the fields below.
