ACHA participated in an international competition requesting proposals for a residential tower outside of Toronto, Canada. ACHA’s design included a prefabricated tower set on a podium of commercial units and residential townhouses, with a public piazza and garden. The tower is composed of 14 communities each made up of four apartment floors.  Each community cluster contains a garden at the exterior edge of the building, and a community room at its core.

The structural frame is constructed of poured-in-place concrete. Prefabricated units stack three high and slide inside the concrete frame. Each cell measures 11ft x 22ft (3.35m x 6.7m).  The number of cells defines the apartment size.  All apartments are exposed to light, ventilation, and views along the length of their openings.  The cells are fabricated offsite and delivered with their plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems in place.
